You will be:
- leading UX discovery: ecosystem walkthrough / heuristic evaluation of current tools and first-hand field research with H&S users,
- defining the problem statement, user roles and design direction from synthesized research,
- designing, documenting and governing the SafetyTrack Design System within ArcelorMittal’s corporate branding guidance,
- directing rapid prototyping during the first MVP sprints to tighten the end-user feedback loop and validate concepts before full build,
- setting UX quality standards, including usability and accessibility expectations from the NFRs,
- guiding and reviewing the work of the UX Designer; align design and engineering on a shared component language.
Your profile:
- proven experience designing end-to-end user experiences for responsive web and mobile applications, including Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and offline-first solutions,
- hands-on experience owning or significantly contributing to Design Systems, from creation to implementation and collaboration with engineering teams,
- strong user research skills, including planning, conducting, and synthesizing qualitative research to translate user insights into effective design decisions,
- proficiency in Figma and component-based design, with experience preparing design hand-off for development teams,
- ability to identify, prioritize, and solve complex design problems while balancing user needs with business objectives,
- experience facilitating design workshops and collaborating with business stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional product teams,
- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and refine product scope,
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or in a similar role,
- at least 1 year of experience working in a fully remote environment,
- English at B2+ level,
- willingness to travel occasionally to client locations (UK, DACH, U.S.) and Xebia offices in Poland (Wrocław, Gdańsk, Rzeszów),
- a growth mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Chat, or similar) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in analysis and software delivery.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
- experience designing enterprise, SaaS, or mobile-first products,
- practical experience conducting quantitative research methods, such as usability metrics or A/B testing,
- experience working with accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing inclusive digital experiences,
- experience contributing to or scaling Design Systems in larger organizations,
- active involvement in the UX community through conferences, meetups, workshops, or public speaking,
- experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily analytical and documentation work,
- interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. automation of analysis tasks, AI-supported documentation, or workflow optimization), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
