About This Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Unified Banking Team Lead in this role, you will process a high volume of transactions every day. You will work closely with our volunteer Unit Treasurers to assist and ensure that all the receipts submitted are accounted for and unit/district bank accounts are balanced. With a high degree of patience, strong attention to detail, and a level head under pressure, you will be very successful in this role. 
 

 

In this role you will:


  • Collaborate with Help Desk inquiries to identify and resolve banking related problems.
  • Provide customer service for volunteers, advising on any banking questions or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain electronic filing system related to ongoing email communications as well as back up information required for verifying transactions.
  • Be responsible for verifying the accuracy and compliance with policies of a high volume of transactions each day (approx. 100 transactions per day).
  • Understand and apply organizational policies regarding inclusivity to unified banking processes, member communication and customer queries/service. 
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Liaise with other departments as required.


General:

  • Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.
  • Apply organizational policies regarding diversity, inclusivity and equity to content, member communication and customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

 

  • Are working towards or have completed a degree or diploma in a related field (Accounting or Business Administration) or have equivalent work experience.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and sound analytical skills in relation to numerical data.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have intermediate knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable working independently


Assets:

 

  • Familiar with Girl Guides of Canada and/or have experience in the voluntary sector with non-profit organizations.
  • Fluency in French.


 

Starting Annual Salary: $41,300
