This role combines advanced neurovascular clinical expertise with medical education strategy and program execution. As Training & Education Consultant, you will serve as a neurovascular and clinical cath lab subject matter expert, supporting physician education, healthcare professional training, clinical case support, and faculty development initiatives. The position partners closely with sales, marketing, clinical, legal, and regulatory stakeholders to identify educational needs, develop training programs, and drive therapy adoption, and clinical objectives across the United States.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive Neurovascular business objectives by collaborating with Medical Education leadership, Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional partners to assess education and training needs and execute strategic initiatives.
Develop, deliver, and manage device, therapy, and procedural training programs while ensuring compliance with Medtronic quality, regulatory, and business conduct requirements.
Provide clinical and procedural support for neurovascular cases, including physician education and technical guidance related to imaging, anatomy, procedural workflows, and therapy adoption.
Plan, develop, and coordinate healthcare professional education programs for physicians, fellows, nurses, and technicians, including national courses, faculty-led events, and district meetings.
Recruit, engage, and collaborate with physician faculty to enhance educational and training opportunities for residents and fellows.
Create educational content, training materials, and learning resources by determining instructional methodologies and coordinating development of training aids.
Partner with Sales Management, Marketing, Marketing Communications, Clinical, Regulatory, and Legal teams to develop compliant healthcare professional programs aligned with Operating Unit strategies.
Maintain and enhance neurovascular disease state, therapy, and device knowledge while evaluating program effectiveness through ongoing customer and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with 14+ years of relevant experience in neurovascular, catheterization laboratory, interventional clinical support, medical education, or a related procedural specialty; OR Associate's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Direct experience supporting catheterization laboratory, neurovascular, or interventional procedures with demonstrated expertise in imaging, anatomy, procedural workflows, and physician training.
Experience developing, delivering, or facilitating healthcare professional education, clinical training, or physician development programs.
Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, clinical, marketing, and healthcare professional stakeholders.
Ability to travel greater than 75% to support customer education programs, physician training courses, district meetings, and clinical case support activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Medtronic Neurovascular products and therapies or a competing neurovascular portfolio.
Experience as a Field Clinical Specialist, Technical Consultant, Clinical Education Specialist, or comparable procedural support role.
Experience developing healthcare professional education strategies, physician faculty programs, fellow training initiatives, or national educational courses.
Knowledge of neurovascular disease states, therapies, product launches, and clinical adoption methodologies.
Relevant cardiovascular, radiologic, interventional, or catheterization laboratory certifications.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
