A prominent legal firm is seeking a Trademark Paralegal to support a dynamic team for a direct hire role. The role is located in San Francisco, CA, but with consideration for candidates in Chicago and Los Angeles. You must be able to go onsite 3-4 days a week. This opportunity involves working on domestic and international trademark portfolios in a fast-paced setting.
*Trademark Paralegal Responsibilities:*
* Assist in managing both local and global trademark portfolios, ensuring all records are current and organized.
* Maintain and update trademark files, records, and docket information to meet deadlines.
* Track deadlines for prosecution and renewal to facilitate timely filings and responses.
* Prepare reports and summaries of portfolio status for clients and attorneys.
* Handle registration and application processes, including filings, responses, and official documents for trademarks internationally and domestically.
*Trademark Paralegal Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree is required; ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred. (candidates who have a JD degree will not be considered)
* At least 5 years of experience supporting trademark prosecution activities.
* Familiarity with USPTO rules, procedures, and international trademark systems such as WIPO.
* Experience with docketing tools like FoundationIP or similar platforms.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal technology platforms.
