Introduction
This position involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade workflow orchestration solutions using Temporal. The Temporal Consultant will be responsible for migrating legacy BPM/workflow implementations, developing durable workflow patterns, implementing integrations, and ensuring resilient execution across distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy workflow platforms and identify migration patterns
- Design, develop, and maintain Temporal workflows, activities, and orchestration patterns
- Lead migration of legacy BPM/workflow solutions to Temporal, including workflow analysis and conversion
- Support workflow versioning, resiliency, and long-running process execution
- Build and support integrations with APIs, event streams, databases, and enterprise applications
- Develop reusable workflow frameworks, adapters, and accelerators to improve delivery speed and consistency
- Create unit, integration, and workflow validation tests
- Execute testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of workflow solutions
- Support deployment, observability, CI/CD, and production stabilization of Temporal-based applications
Requirements
Required Skills (5-7 yrs of experience)
- Temporal - Temporal Workflows, Activities, Child Workflows, Signals & Queries, Workflow Versioning, Durable Execution Concepts, Retry & Error Handling Patterns, Temporal CLI and Observability Tools
- Development - Java (Preferred)
Preferred Skills (3-5 yrs of experience)
- Development - Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, JSON/XML Processing, Git/GitHub
- Integration - Kafka / Event Streaming, SOAP & REST Services, Database Integration, Enterprise Application Integration Patterns, DevOps & Cloud
