JOB OVERVIEW
The Technology & Industry Research Intern will help develop Act Normal’s niche job board and company database and will work to develop and implement technological systems and solutions across the company. This position will be combination of research, data entry, and technological creation. 

This is a perfect position for a leader with strong technical skills who is interested in getting exposure and experience in the fields of Travel and Education, working in a startup environment, and able to take on big challenges. 

Successful candidates will be self starters, comfortable with remote work and indirect supervision, and enjoy challenges. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Board and Company Database: 

  • Research new job opportunities on a weekly basis 
  • Post new jobs to the job board 
  • Research companies across the travel and international / experiential education industries 
  • Import industry data into the company database 
  • Help develop and shape the future of the company database and job board

Technologies 

  • Consult on technological solutions for Act Normal products 
  • Track and review analytics

Other possible projects 

  • Implement new technological platforms 
  • Develop website(s) and landing page(s) 
  • Manage user experience 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and companies 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Years of Experience 

  • 0-3 years of experience working in the leader field (travel, international education, experiential education)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • A proactive, disciplined work ethic and comfort working in a remote team environment 
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Superb organizational skills 
  • Experience with research and data entry 
  • Experience developing technological solutions such as web sites or other applications 
  • Basic HTML and CSS skills 
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves, get-it-done attitude 
  • Experience working in a high pressure, high demand, and fast-paced growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
