This is a remote position.
Our client is a well-established premier local distribution arm of a leading industrial manufacturer specializing in high-performance precision cutting tools and engineering solutions. With over four decades of market excellence since its inception in the late 1970s, the company has maintained a strong competitive edge by working closely with manufacturers to optimize machining processes. They serve a prestigious, cross-industry client base spanning the mould & die, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, energy, and medical device sectors.
Proactively hunt for new business opportunities and identify untapped manufacturing clients within assigned territories and target sectors (mould & die, precision engineering, automotive, etc.).
Explore and map out new emerging markets, industry segments, and industrial zones to expand company market share.
Conduct professional technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and value-proposition pitches to engineering and procurement teams.
Develop and nurture strong, long-term technical relationships with new and existing corporate accounts to ensure high retention and repeat business.
Collaborate directly with clients on-site to understand their specific project requirements, troubleshooting machining issues and recommending optimal cutting tool applications.
Generate accurate sales pipelines, manage technical RFQs, and deliver tailored commercial proposals in line with assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Actively monitor local competitor activity, market shifts, and pricing trends to safeguard the company’s competitive positioning.
Utilize field insights and customer feedback to dynamically adjust regional sales strategies and capture new opportunities.
Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, and technical trial outcomes within internal databases.
Education: Minimum Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding.
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on technical sales experience in a related industrial field.
Niche Technical Skills: Deep technical understanding of cutting tools, CNC machining, milling application parameters, or precision manufacturing solutions. Strong engineering problem-solving capabilities are essential.
Language Proficiency: Strong command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (required to effectively communicate and negotiate with a diverse client base, engineering teams, and key stakeholders).
Mobility: Must possess own transport and a valid driver's license, with full willingness to travel extensively within the assigned regional territory.
