Task Lead / Sr. ISD

Overview:

Pherson is seeking a Task Lead / Senior Instructional Systems Designer to lead and oversee a team of instructional designers, driving the design, development, and delivery of high-quality learning products in support of our client's mission. This role owns quality control and assurance across all deliverables, manages multiple concurrent projects, and ensures work stays aligned with contract objectives, timelines, and standards of excellence.

Location: Remote (client site in Arlington, VA)

Operating Hours and Expectations: This position is fully remote with standard work hours, Monday-Friday

Security Clearance: None; Ability to obtain DHS Suitability required

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $120,000-135,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop formal ISD project plans with schedules and reporting on statuses; support client with development of various training requests.
• Ensure deliverables are aligned across projects and programs, making adjustments as necessary, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Monitor program progress to ensure milestones are being met and initiate corrective active where necessary.
• Assist in planning and coordinating various activities for projects and ensure compliance to all task procedures and policies.
• Prepare any follow-on action requirements, as needed.
• Ensure all communications with customers and stakeholders are conveyed in writing and/or verbally where appropriate.
• Provide status updates and conduct bi-weekly meetings with the client and key stakeholders.
  
• Support Leadership Team and Program Manager with training program development for project/client activities.
  
• Manage two Instructional Systems Designers (mid/junior-level).

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors Degree (Ten (10) years of relevant experience may be substituted for BA/BS).
• An active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability 
• At least 15 years professional experience 
• At least 10 years of experience working in manpower or strategic workforce planning and analysis organization 
• Must possess expert skill in written and oral communications; capable of briefing senior leaders and interagency stakeholders 
• Demonstrated knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System (LMS)
• Extraordinary attention to detail is required 
• Exceptional analytical and policy skills
• Exceptionally strong skills using Microsoft products to include Outlook, Office 365, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Project Management, and Excel 

Desired:

• B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in instructional design, educational technology, or similar area of study.
• Current or prior DHS Suitability
