Purpose of the Position

The Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist ensures a smooth and positive new hire experience from offer acceptance through orientation. This role partners closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR teams to support onboarding and compliance steps. This position also provides temporary recruiting support during busy hiring periods and special projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years in Talent Acquisition and/or HR preferred (healthcare experience ideal)

  • Proficient with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently

  • Must be 18+ years old and insurable under company auto insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Experience

  • Serve as primary contact for new hires after offer acceptance

  • Provide clear instructions and timely updates on onboarding requirements

Onboarding Coordination

  • Initiate and track background checks, health screenings, and license verification

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate technology, payroll, and system access prior to start date

Collaboration & Process Support

  • Work closely with recruiters and HR partners to ensure timely starts

  • Maintain accurate documentation and track hiring readiness in ATS/HRIS

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency

Float Recruiting Support

  • Assist with sourcing, screening, and hiring as needed

  • Support seamless coverage during busy periods or team absences
