The Systems Engineer provides technical expertise for server hardware, operating systems, and data center operations to ensure reliability and service level standards. Responsibilities include designing, testing, and modifying computer systems while managing disaster recovery and network performance.
Position Summary
The Systems Engineer provides technical expertise as it applies to server and systems hardware, operating systems, and general data center operations. Provides long-term systems solutions to the company’s needs as well as maintaining reliability service level standards as outlined by IT management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the configuration & management of systems & network infrastructure.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in desktop, virtualization, storage, and server technology design, implementation, and transition to an IT Service.
- Consistently demonstrate a level of effective written & verbal communication aligned with the core values of the organization.
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external users to meet & exceed service levels.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize deliverables.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and/or equivalent experience and training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in ITILv3
- Certification in Microsoft Technologies, Virtualization, Cloud (AWS or Azure), or Cisco Networking
- Understanding of IT security principles HIPAA, SOX, NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA
- Healthcare IT experience

- Engage in technology projects, architecture, and support exercising innovative and independent judgment related to enterprise infrastructure & applications. Working to ensure successful deployment and operations by developing and documenting detailed standards (e.g., guidelines, processes, procedures) for the introduction and maintenance of services.
