AI Summary

Own the end-to-end system design, including data modeling, indexing strategies, and the architecture of the data layer. Develop and maintain a web application while building robust pipelines for document processing and AI-driven agents.

We're seeking an experienced Backend or Fullstack Developer who thinks like a systems designer – someone who reaches for schema diagrams and load assumptions before reaching for code. You'll join our fully remote team. If you like complexity, enjoy reasoning about data, scale and reliability, want to implement AI-solutions and enjoy working with Claude/Cursor/Codex, this could be the right role for you.

Our product

You'll be working on [hausverwalter.ai](http://hausverwalter.ai) – our AI-first, all-in-one platform for German property management companies, which enables customers to set up, train and measure AI agents to automate any task they want. It is an ambitious project consisting of modules for ticketing, project-management, documents, knowledgebase & team-communication. Currently property managers use on average 5-10 software tools daily. We are building a single software to replace (and automate) them all.

What you'll do

  • Own the system design – you decide how data is modeled, where state lives, how components talk to each other, and how the whole system behaves under load

  • Design and own our data layer from the ground up – tables and relationships, indexing strategy, and query/load optimization that holds up as data and traffic grow

  • Design queues, background jobs and long-running workflows that stay correct and reliable under heavy load and partial failure

  • Make the hard, hard-to-reverse design decisions early – and reason explicitly about the trade-offs behind them

  • Develop and maintain our web application

  • Contribute to architecture decisions, the direction of our stack, and the overall product vision

  • Build robust pipelines for document- & email processing and 3rd-party-integrations that handle volume spikes gracefully

  • Build and optimize agents for our growing template-library

  • Extend our RAG / knowledge base system (embeddings, semantic search, reranking)

  • Operate in an AI-first development setup powered by Claude/Cursor

  • Manage version control and team collaboration via GitHub

Our techstack

  • Backend: TypeScript

  • Frontend: [Next.js](https://nextjs.org), React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui

  • Database: We don't want to disclose this publicly at the moment

About Powerprozesse: We are German automation agency. The role is fully remote – though you're always welcome to drop by our office in Worms, Germany. You'll fit in well if you're after more than just the "freedom part" of remote work and are truly eager to roll up your sleeves and grow alongside us for the long haul.

[hausverwalter.ai](http://hausverwalter.ai) is in its early stages and we are working closely with a few customers to prepare it for its launch in the upcoming weeks.

Find out more about us at [powerprozesse.de/karriere](https://www.powerprozesse.de/karriere) or on our [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@hausverwalter-ai) channel.

Salary: $800 to $1500 per month before taxes. There will be room for growth and promotion in the years ahead.

What we offer:

  • 100% remote work

  • Permanent contract in your country of residence through our partner Deel (Employer of Record)

  • AI-first mindset – make use of multiple Claude / Cursor / Codex subscriptions depending on your needs

  • A software that our customers are genuinely excited about

  • Modern tech stack – you'll work exclusively with cutting-edge technologies

  • Job security: Everyone we bring on is meant to grow with us over the long term. Every hire is aimed at permanent employment.

  • Strong pay & career prospects: We'll continue growing and expanding in the years to come. To do that, we need more experts and/or leaders on board.

  • Flexible working hours

If a long-term remote position at a structured, growing company sounds like what you're after, we'd be glad to receive your application.

  • A genuine systems-design background – you can design a database from scratch (tables, relationships, indexes) and reason about database load, query performance and data growth, not just write CRUD against an existing schema

  • The instinct to think in terms of consistency, throughput, failure modes and bottlenecks – you know where the system will hurt before it does

  • Comfort designing queues, background jobs and long-running workflows, and the judgment to make the hard design trade-offs they involve

  • You treat reliability, scalability and maintainability as default concerns. If you've read "Designing Data-Intensive Applications" (Kleppmann) – or simply think that way – you'll feel right at home here

  • Solid English skills for smooth communication within the team

Please note that the application form on the next page is in German. That said, German language skills are not required for this role.
