System Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator to own Fold Health's corporate IT environment — laptops, identities, office network, and employee support — for our teams in Pune and our remote employees in the United States. 

Because we operate on protected health information, this is as much an information-security role as an IT role. Every device, account, and access change has to be configured to a security baseline, documented, and defensible to an auditor. The ideal candidate is hands-on with endpoints and networks, comfortable enforcing security policy, and understands how HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST controls translate into day-to-day operations and evidence. 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 
  

• 5–8 years of corporate IT / system administration experience, with at least 2 years in an environment governed by a formal security or compliance program. 
  

• Strong hands-on Windows and macOS administration, including imaging, provisioning, and remote management. 
  

• MDM administration — Microsoft Intune or equivalent — and Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace administration. 
  

• Identity and access management: Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or similar, including MFA enforcement, group/role design, and access reviews. 
  

• Endpoint protection / EDR administration and day-to-day security operations on endpoints. 
  

• Working knowledge of information-security practice: security baselines and hardening, patch and vulnerability management, least privilege, encryption, logging, and incident response support. 
  

• Practical understanding of how HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, or ISO 27001 controls translate into operational procedures and audit evidence. You do not need to be an auditor, but you should have lived through a control cycle. 
  

• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall administration. 
  

• IT asset management and experience supporting remote employees across time zones. 
  

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills — runbooks, checklists, and inventories that so
  

• Direct exposure to HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST programs alongside Engineering and Information Security leadership. 
  

• Collaborative, fast-moving team with room to grow toward an IT/security leadership track.
