We are looking for a Surrogate Journey Advisor to temporarily join our Surrogate Services Team.

The Surrogate Journey Advisor owns the critical first stage of the surrogate journey, creating a highly personalized candidate experience while strategically engaging, educating, evaluating, and influencing prospective surrogates to drive qualified candidates toward consultation and program acceptance.

This role combines relationship building, consultative sales, surrogate education, safety-minded decision-making, and application review. The Surrogate Journey Advisor will connect with individuals who have expressed interest in becoming surrogates, build trust and rapport, identify individual motivations and barriers, and strategically guide qualified candidates toward completing an application and scheduling a consultation with Surrogate Services.

The Surrogate Journey Advisor will also review submitted applications, communicate with applicants regarding qualifications and next steps, and confidently navigate both positive and challenging conversations, including declining applicants who do not meet program requirements.

Professional experience in the surrogacy industry and a strong understanding of the overall surrogacy process are highly valued, and we also encourage applicants with relevant transferable experience and a passion for supporting families to apply.

 

What you’ll do:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Candidate Engagement and Journey Development

  • Proactively connect with individuals who have expressed interest in becoming surrogates through telephone, video, email, text, and other communication channels.
  • Create a personalized and engaging candidate journey by understanding each individual's motivations, needs, concerns, and barriers to moving forward.
  • Build meaningful relationships and establish trust with prospective surrogate applicants while maintaining a clear focus on driving qualified candidates forward in the process.
  • Utilize consultative sales strategies, critical thinking, and persuasive communication to increase candidate engagement, overcome objections, address hesitation, and drive conversion.
  • Maintain consistent, strategic, and timely follow-up with prospective surrogate applicants.
  • Educate prospective surrogates on the overall surrogacy process, program expectations, compensation, benefits, safety standards, and the experience of becoming a surrogate.
  • Confidently move with the natural flow of conversations, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement, provide education, overcome barriers, and establish clear next steps.
  • Take ownership of candidate progression and actively work to move qualified prospective surrogates from initial interest through application submission and consultation.

Application Review and Qualification

  • Review submitted surrogate applications to evaluate initial qualifications and identify additional information needed to determine candidate eligibility.
  • Learn and apply established application review processes, program requirements, safety standards, and qualification criteria.
  • Communicate with applicants to obtain additional information, clarify application responses, and address potential qualification concerns.
  • Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking when evaluating applicant information and determining appropriate next steps.
  • Schedule qualified surrogate applicants for consultations with the Surrogate Services Team and ensure candidates are educated, engaged, and prepared for the next stage of the process.
  • Communicate program decisions clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Confidently navigate challenging or sensitive conversations, including informing applicants that they do not meet program requirements or are unable to move forward.
  • Ensure all candidate communications, application updates, decisions, and next steps are accurately documented in internal systems.

Conversion and Performance

  • Take ownership of individual and departmental goals related to candidate engagement, application progression, consult scheduling, and conversion.
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency and consistent follow-up to prevent qualified candidates from becoming disengaged or stalled in the process.
  • Use creativity, persistence, and strategic communication to re-engage prospective surrogates and identify opportunities to move qualified candidates forward.
  • Understand and effectively communicate the value of Growing Generations' program, experience, benefits, and approach to surrogacy.
  • Balance conversion objectives with the responsibility to protect surrogate safety, uphold qualification standards, and ensure appropriate candidates move forward.
  • Monitor personal performance and candidate progression and adjust outreach and engagement strategies to improve results.
  • Demonstrate ambition, accountability, resilience, and a strong drive to achieve individual and departmental goals.

Team Contribution

  • Collaborate with Surrogate Services team members to ensure qualified candidates transition smoothly into the consultation and intake process.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records and documentation.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems, such as Salesforce.
  • Participate in and contribute to departmental and company initiatives and projects.
  • Be a creative problem solver with strong critical-thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Adapt to new systems, processes, qualification standards, and operational improvements as the program evolves.
  • Provide feedback and ideas that support continuous improvement, candidate conversion, department performance, and company growth.
  • Demonstrate empathy, ambition, accountability, curiosity, adaptability, and innovation.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in the surrogacy industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with the overall surrogacy journey, including the responsibilities, expectations, and considerations involved in becoming a surrogate, is beneficial.
  • Professional experience in a consultative, relationship-focused, or goal-oriented role is preferred, with backgrounds in sales, recruitment, business development, customer service, or similar fields welcomed.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, influence decisions, overcome objections, and move individuals toward action.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday communicating with prospective surrogate applicants by telephone and video.
  • Ability to confidently navigate difficult, sensitive, and emotionally charged conversations.
  • Comfortable communicating both acceptance and decline decisions to applicants.
  • Ability to balance empathy and relationship building with accountability, program standards, safety considerations, and performance expectations.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to adapt communication strategies based on individual candidates and circumstances.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to interact with a broad set of individuals from different cultures and regions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Comfortable managing multiple candidates, conversations, tasks, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment where processes continue to grow and improve.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, resilient, and driven to achieve measurable results.
  • Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and adapt.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus.
