Supply Chain Assistant

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Supply Chain Assistant for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

You'll support the supply chain team at a UK business — raising purchase orders, chasing suppliers, and keeping delivery schedules and records accurate.

Suppliers slip, orders change, and dates move. You will be the steady point in that process, keeping the paperwork straight and the team informed.

You will work UK business hours from home, as part of a South African team placed directly with established UK employers.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and track purchase orders through to delivery
• Chase suppliers on order confirmations and delivery dates
• Maintain supplier records, pricing and lead time data
• Support demand and stock planning with clean reporting
• Resolve delivery shortages and invoice queries with suppliers
• Keep supply chain documentation organised and traceable

What you'll need

• Experience in purchasing, supply chain or order administration
• Confident in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
• Comfortable chasing suppliers by email and phone
• Strong attention to detail on quantities, prices and dates
• Organised approach to a high volume of open orders

Nice to have

• Exposure to an ERP such as SAP, NetSuite or Sage
• Understanding of lead times and reorder points
• Experience with import or freight documentation
