Position Overview

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that all externally sourced materials and components supplied meet Safetrust’s quality standards, technical specifications, and customer requirements. 

This role serves as a critical link between suppliers and internal teams, driving supplier performance, managing quality issues, and supporting both production and new production introduction(NPI) activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and experienced in working with suppliers in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management & Performance

  • Conduct supplier audits on-site (in Ha Noi or Dong Nai) to assess compliance with quality standards and requirements
  • Monitor supplier quality performance through defined metrics and KPIs
  • Supplier Issue Management & Improvement
  • Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCAR)
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone
  • Track and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions

Supplier Issue Management & Corrective Actions

  • Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and ensure timely resolution
  • Perform root cause analysis using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone
  • Track, validate, and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions

Change Management

  • Manage supplier-initiated changes, including PCN (Product Change Notice) and ECN (Engineering Change Notice)
  • Ensure all changes are properly evaluated, validated, and approved prior to implementation
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess risk and impact of supplier changes

Production & New Product Introduction (NPI) Support

  • Support production teams in resolving supplier-related quality issues
  • Participate in NPI activities, including part qualification, validation, and supplier readiness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and QA teams to ensure seamless product introduction


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field)
  • 2–5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working with international suppliers preferred
  • Strong understanding of supplier quality processes and continuous improvement practices
  • Proven ability to manage supplier performance and drive issue resolution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and cross-functional coordination
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Proficiency in English (reading and writing)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies, including:
  • 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans
  • Experience conducting supplier audits aligned to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards
  • Strong stakeholder management and supplier engagement capabilities
