This internship is geared towards candidates who are proactive and enjoy working independently in a collaborative environment. Interns will gain meaningful hands-on experience while developing new skills and having the opportunity to build connections across our global ISEP Community. The internship is designed to allow a candidate to gain exposure to many different facets of international education within an organization that mobilizes students across 50+ countries.
PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Assistant Director of Student Services, Student Services Supervisor – Program Operations
External: ISEP Coordinators, faculty, and other contacts at member institutions
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern’s projects may vary based on their own interest and experience. Preferred projects and responsibilities include:
Organize and issue student transcripts to University partners
Triage general email inquiries and delegate to relevant staff member
Research programmatic information (expenses, application processes, housing updates, etc.) to update advising materials
Collect and catalogue internal application instructions for University partners
Prepare email templates to be sent for updates needed to student applications
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
Strong command of English
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on intercultural and interpersonal effectiveness
Strong research and organizational skills including attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to work during normal ISEP business hours, Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm eastern standard time (up to 20 hours a week)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Office365 or Microsoft Office Suite
Previous study abroad experience, preferably on an ISEP Study Abroad program
Motivation and enthusiasm for the field of international education
