A leading architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to support our client's innovative team. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from various locations with occasional site visits. The position is classified as a contract engagement and involves designing structural components for residential projects.
*Structural Engineer Responsibilities:*
* Develop and refine foundational designs and structural systems for multiple residential units.
* Generate clear, construction-ready documentation and permit submissions.
* Collaborate with architects and other engineers to produce integrated, buildable plans.
* Oversee site visits to monitor construction quality and review field RFIs.
* Innovate by creating and implementing tools to streamline design workflows.
*Structural Engineer Qualifications:*
* Professional Civil Engineering license (PE) in California.
* Minimum of 8 years' experience designing light-framed wood structures, steel elements, and foundations.
* Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit.
* Proven ability in developing engineering tools and improving processes.
* Strong technical problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
