The Strategic Pricing Consultant applies established pricing logic and approved pricing programs while acting as a frontline advocate for growth, ensuring pricing decisions support both margin discipline and sales momentum.


Success in this role requires the ability to translate pricing into a compelling story. The Strategic Pricing Consultant must communicate value, inspire confidence, and influence decisions with both carriers and franchise partners. This role is as much about persuasion and relationship-building as it is about numbers.


This role emphasizes urgency, ownership, and opportunity creation in addition to pricing accuracy.



Key Responsibilities

- Execute customer pricing requests quickly and accurately using established pricing programs and methodologies

- Partner directly with franchise owners to structure competitive pricing that helps close new business

- Work directly with carrier partners to promote opportunities and align pricing support to win freight

- Inspire confidence and excitement around strategic opportunities with both internal and external partners

- Act as a commercial advocate for growth while maintaining pricing discipline

- Identify high-value opportunities and proactively drive them forward

- Maintain pricing workflows and costing processes

- Monitor and support reporting related to pricing performance and margin outcomes

- Apply approved pricing logic, carrier tariffs, and programs consistently

- Identify discrepancies or unusual pricing behavior and escalate appropriately

- Support analytics and reporting through accurate data preparation

- Operate with urgency in competitive pricing scenarios

- Maintain strong working relationships with sales, operations, and carrier partners

- Experience in LTL, brokerage, or freight environment preferred

- Sales or commercial exposure is a strong advantage

- Exceptional communication and relationship-building ability required
