The Strategic Insights Advisor is responsible for transforming retailer, syndicated, shopper, consumer, and competitive intelligence into actionable business insights that drive growth for our clients. This role develops compelling, data-driven narratives that inform executive-level conversations, annual business planning, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), innovation initiatives, promotional strategy, and broader marketplace opportunities.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen and storytelling skills, enabling them to connect data to strategic recommendations that influence decision-making. They are naturally curious, proactive, and collaborative, thriving in a fast-paced environment where turning insights into action creates measurable impact for clients and retail partners.

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver compelling business stories that synthesize retailer, syndicated, shopper, consumer, and competitive intelligence to support executive client meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), annual planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze marketplace, category, shopper, and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, and actionable recommendations for clients.
- Monitor retailer performance drivers including pricing, promotion, assortment, distribution, competitive activity, and innovation to uncover insights that influence business decisions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client teams by translating complex data into clear, executive-level recommendations that drive growth.
- Lead the development and management of recurring reporting, analytics, and insight deliverables while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Client Teams, Retail Media, eCommerce, Shopper, Category Management, and Operations to deliver integrated insights and recommendations.
- Manage key project timelines and deliverables across strategic planning, business reviews, and client initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve analytics, reporting, visualization, and storytelling capabilities through automation, BI tools, AI, and process enhancements.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of Harvest Group's insights capabilities, thought leadership, and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in CPG, retail analytics, category management, shopper insights, consumer insights, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of retailer and marketplace dynamics across Mass, Club, Grocery, and Digital Commerce channels.
- Experience working with syndicated, retailer, and marketplace data sources such as Circana (IRI), NielsenIQ, Retail Link, Luminate, Stackline, 84.51°, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel with experience developing executive-level presentations and business reviews.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Preferred
- Supporting national or multi-retailer brand strategy and growth initiatives.
- Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Power Query, or other data visualization and analytics tools.
- Retail media, omnichannel analytics, and digital commerce performance measurement.
- Leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve analysis, efficiency, and storytelling.
- Supporting integrated business planning, annual planning, or executive-level client engagements.

The national hiring range for this position is $95,000-$105,000 per year. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
