This unique opportunity allows a Harker student to play an important role in advancing The Harker Strategic Plan 2025–2030, specifically Theme 4, which focuses on strengthening Harker's community by leveraging the expertise and engagement of alumni, parents, and other constituents.
Working closely with the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Strategic Initiatives Research Analyst will research and organize constituent information to help identify professionals whose backgrounds and expertise align with future Harker programs, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. This flexible, remote position offers valuable experience in business research, data management, strategic planning, and professional networking.
Position Summary
The Strategic Initiatives Research Analyst will support Harker's strategic initiatives by researching alumni, parents, and other Harker constituents and updating the Strategic Initiatives Constituent Master Spreadsheets with accurate and current professional information. This work will help identify individuals whose expertise, experience, and interests may support future engagement opportunities connected to Harker's strategic priorities.
The successful candidate must have:
Completed coursework within Harker's Business and Entrepreneurship Department.
Participated in multiple extracurricular activities offered through the department.
Experience engaging alumni and parents through student programs is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates who will hold a leadership position during the 2026–2027 academic year and can apply insights gained through this role to future student programming and engagement efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Review existing constituent records for accuracy and completeness.
Research alumni, parents, and other constituents using LinkedIn, search engines, and other appropriate resources.
Identify and verify current job titles, employers, industries, professional expertise, and career information.
Update the Strategic Initiatives Constituent Master Spreadsheets with newly verified information.
Assign category codes based on occupation, industry, expertise, and other relevant classifications.
Organize information to support future constituent engagement and strategic initiatives.
Maintain strict confidentiality and use all information solely for authorized Harker School purposes.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Provide periodic updates to the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives regarding research progress, trends, and notable findings.
Assist with other related research projects as assigned.

This is a temporary, remote position offering flexible scheduling.
Up to 80 total hours of work, to be completed before August 15, 2026.
Flexible work schedule coordinated with the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Work may not exceed 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
No work may be performed on national holidays.
Communication will occur primarily through email and Zoom.
