SRE Engineer (Full Time; Multiple Openings)

This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for: Responsible for ensuring RingCentral's products and services are highly available, reliable, secure and scalable by managing and maintaining production environments on a massive scale in multi-tenant environments.

To succeed in this role you must meet the following requirements:

• Maintaining 24x7 production environment with a high level of service availability, ensuring services  are designed with 24x7 availability and operational readiness to support expected goals of RingCentral products  and services
• Partnering with development teams in defining and implementing improvements for production software deployments
• Implementing automation and orchestration for manual processes required to operate, deploy and support ongoing and smooth operation of RingCentral's cloud services
• Being at the heart of developing new ideas into internal OPS/SRE tools by working closely with advanced technology and high IT professionals
• Performing quality reviews and managing operational issues, in the process of running and delivering high quality 
• RingCentral's products; Interfacing with Dev/QNOPS teams to identify root cause analysis and re-instrument  triggers to prevent future network degradation and outages
• Defining non-functional requirements as part of the  product lifecycle to influence the new designs, standards, and methods for scalable, highly available distributed systems
• Exploring and innovating new cloud and HA technologies, features, and tools to create RingCentral's world class cloud-based unified business communications service
• Implementing automated tests, automated deployments, and operational tools, proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis and self-healing systems, participating in on-call rotations, driving restoration and repairing of service-impacting issues to solve different kind of issues with respect to performance of RingCentral's products
• Collaborating with Product and Support teams to plan and deploy successful product releases

Desired Qualifications:

• U.S. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field, or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience, is required. Within the foregoing parameters, any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

• Experience with Python, Bash, Go, Terraform, Ansible, Amazon Web Services (“AWS”), Google Cloud Platform (“GCP”), Kubernetes, GitLab, DNS, Docker, CI/CD, TCP/IP networks, Linux, SRE principles, DevOps practices, system automation, and monitoring tools is required
