Summary:

The Sr Supply Chain Performance Improvement Director leads the most complex National Operations Center (NOC) transformation initiatives and client engagements, driving operationalization of product value-stream strategies through governance models, scalable process solutions, implementation methodologies, and cross-functional workflow enhancements. This role serves as a senior advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, influencing operating-model design, implementation strategy, and adoption approaches that improve service reliability, procedural readiness, financial performance, and digital enablement. The Senior Transformation Director also contributes to development of transformation methodologies, client-facing offerings, and scalable delivery models that support long-term growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the most complex, strategic, or high-visibility transformation engagements and initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing guidance on transformation strategy, governance, and operating-model design.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of transformation methodologies, implementation approaches, and scalable delivery practices.
  • Lead implementation and operationalization of NOC product value-stream initiatives across client engagements and internal transformation programs.
  • Lead matrixed engagement teams and client stakeholders across workstreams to deliver project plans, support adoption, manage commitments, and achieve client objectives.
  • Translate NOC strategy into scalable workflows, operating models, governance structures, and standardized delivery approaches
  • Support development and continuous improvement of client-facing offerings, implementation playbooks, delivery tiers, and operational standards.
  • Drive client onboarding, readiness assessments, stakeholder alignment, training, and adoption planning.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, finance, analytics, and technology stakeholders to improve supply chain workflow integration and operational achievement.
  • Facilitate value-stream governance routines including KPI reviews, issue escalation, implementation tracking, and operational cadence management.
  • Support development of dashboard standards, KPI definitions, implementation metrics, and data governance practices.
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving related to supply chain transformation, clinical readiness, operational reliability, and process standardization.
  • Manage implementation risks, dependencies, action plans, and transformation milestones across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Prepare executive-level implementation updates, operational reviews, and transformation recommendations.
  • Contribute to development of scalable, repeatable delivery models that support Assess, Optimize, Transform, and Sustain service tiers.
  • Support business development activities including solution design, operational planning, client discussions, and implementation scoping.
  • Serve as a transformation and implementation subject matter resource across healthcare supply chain operations and operating-model design.
  • Champion effective use of AI tools across transformation engagements by identifying practical use cases, improving delivery approaches, coaching team members on responsible use, and ensuring AI outputs are critically evaluated before use with clients or leaders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare supply chain, healthcare operations, spend management, consulting, or transformation-related roles, including significant provider experience.
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and complex client engagements.
  • Demonstrated success influencing executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional organizational change.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations, operational governance, implementation methodologies, and performance improvement practices.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of AI tools, including ability to identify appropriate use cases, assess limitations, guide others in responsible use, and apply AI to improve delivery effectiveness.
  • Experience developing transformation methodologies, implementation frameworks, operating models, or scalable service offerings preferred.
  • Experience mentoring project teams and leading matrixed resources across multiple engagements.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
