What's the role about?

As a Senior Software Engineer – BI Integrations, you'll design, build, and maintain BI tool integrations across their full lifecycle (Excel, Google Sheets, Looker), including features, performance, and defect resolution, as well as semantic model converters that enable customers to bring their existing models into the platform. You’ll work on complex challenges involving SQL, MDX, DAX, authentication, data semantics, and cross-platform integrations.

What do we require from you?

• +5 years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building and shipping production software, ideally involving client integrations, plugins, or SDKs.

• Proven working experience with SQL and exposure to analytical query languages and semantics such as MDX and DAX.

• Experience with authentication and session mechanisms, including OAuth and tokens.

• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including tools such as Jest and techniques for mocking requests and responses.

• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools, with good judgment around when AI can accelerate development and when human review is required.

• Experience with semantic layers, OLAP, and BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos, including BI drivers and connector ecosystems is a nice to have.
