The Project Quality Manager serves as a strategic leader for the BWRX-300 project, overseeing the execution of the GE Vernova Quality Assurance Program. You will lead a high-performing team of quality professionals, providing the technical vision and oversight necessary to ensure all procurement activities meet rigorous regulatory and customer requirements. In this role, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement, mentor staff, and serve as the quality interface to ensure project success throughout the BWRX-300 lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Mentor & Coach: Lead, manage, and develop a team of quality professionals, fostering a high-engagement, customer-focused, and collaborative environment.
• Organizational Excellence: Drive institutional knowledge by providing targeted training on quality activities, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Performance Management: Set clear quality objectives for team members, ensuring alignment with project milestones and regulatory standards.

Strategic Supplier Quality Oversight

• Execution Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end supplier quality lifecycle, from initial qualification and procurement quality control to final surveillance.
• Supplier Engagement: Direct the team in working proactively with suppliers to define quality requirements, verify inspection processes, and ensure strict compliance with engineering specifications.
• Performance Reporting: Implement and monitor supplier quality metrics, reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to internal stakeholders and external supplier leadership.

Technical Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Advanced Problem Solving: Lead the team in analyzing complex quality issues, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implementing effective corrective actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
• Documentation & Compliance: Manage the development and technical review of quality documents, project plans, and procedures.
• Strategic Surveillance: Direct the execution of the supplier quality surveillance program, performing on-site audits and inspections (up to 50% travel) to mitigate project risk.
• Non-Conformance Management: Govern the disposition process for supplier non-conforming products, ensuring technical integrity and adherence to nuclear standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a quality or nuclear-related field.

Desired Characteristics

• Leadership & Culture: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a strong culture of compliance, teamwork, and customer focus.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and Canada CSA N286-12 standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Section III, IX, and XI) and ISO-9001.
• Domain Expertise: Strong background in Nuclear Industry technologies (e.g., SMRs) and experience in NDE processes and welding-related issue resolution.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Operational Readiness: Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and RCA methodologies in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. ​

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $107,600.00 and $179,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
