Job Purpose and Summary:

As the Sr. Quality Engineer IT Wellpartner you will lead various teams supporting the ongoing operation and evolution of the Wellpartner platform including datacenter, network, infrastructure operations and engineering, database administration, information security and security architecture, compliance and data governance.  Furthermore, this role is responsible for ensuring continued platform availability and scalability to meet ongoing demand as the business continues to grow with a focus on supporting enterprise SLAs around uptime/availability and security/compliance objectives.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Strategize Database test initiatives to contribute towards QA roadmap, based on the feedback from Leadership/ Product deliverables
  • Develop Test Strategy, Test Plans for existing and new backend, ETL/EDI, Data Integration solutions. Test accuracy and performance of database code changes. Works on multiple projects in parallel which includes Backend, EDI/ETL and Data Warehouse applications. Facilitate test data needs to the team of backend testers. Identify Automation opportunities and reports performance challenges. Maintains back-end test environments. Report defects and drive it to closure and Reports test metrics
  • Supervise and mentor group of Database Testers and review their work
  • Ensure Business Continuity by leading the DR process and ensure successful testing and ongoing improvements that align with the defined SLA/tiering as assigned by the business

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Lead capacity
  • 5+ years of experience in role executing all phases of SDLC, QA processes, and metrics
  • 5+ years of Advance SQL Querying using SSMS
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL databases, EDI/ETL, DW Automation & Test Management Tools
  • 5+ years of experience with SSIS, SSRS, SQL Agent jobs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • QA SME on Backend, EDI/ETL and DW applications
  • Advance SQL skills, SQL Certification preferred
  • Business understanding of application functionality and usage
  • Understanding of SSIS, SSRS and SQL Agent jobs, Profiling, Azure, Red Gate
  • EDI/ETL experience (Informatica, Query Surge, Tosca BI)
  • Provides recommendations for Performance Testing
  • Maintain Back-end QA Environments

Ability To:

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships across functional units
  • Oversee and guide a group of Database QA Analysts/Engineers and review their work

Education: 

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
