Role Overview

The Implementation Engineer is a hands-on senior network engineer responsible for deploying and implementing modern data center network architectures within enterprise environments. This role focuses on executing finalized designs, particularly VXLAN EVPN fabrics, BGP underlay/overlay, and Arista-based solutions.

This is a production-facing implementation role, not a support or NOC position. The ideal candidate has direct, hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting data center networks using Cisco Nexus and Arista technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on implementation of finalized Arista and Cisco Nexus network designs
• Deploy and validate VXLAN EVPN fabrics in spine–leaf architectures
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP underlay and overlay
• Perform network migrations and cutovers, including weekend activities when required
• Run and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks for network automation and configuration tasks
• Validate configurations through testing to ensure stability, security, and performance
• Document implementations, SOPs, and configuration standards
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and client engineering teams
• Support post-implementation optimization and tuning

Requirements

Mandatory

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data center networking
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus (9K preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Arista switches in production environments
• Proven experience implementing VXLAN EVPN
• Strong working knowledge of BGP, including underlay and overlay concepts
• Experience with spine–leaf architectures
• Ability to run and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks in network environments
• Experience participating in network migrations / change windows
• Experience with Arista CloudVision Portal (CVP)
• Python scripting for network automation
• Unix/Linux exposure
• CCNP or CCIE certification
• Financial services environment experience
• Availability to work weekends for migrations when required
