Sr. Frontend Engineer - Shopify

We are looking for a Sr. Frontend Engineer to join the team of a retail company. In this role, you will be the team's go-to Frontend specialist, with the core objective of leading the complete revamp of the online store and optimizing the user shopping experience through strong A/B testing strategies and continuous UX improvements.

You will work hand-in-hand with the design team to turn their vision into reality, with the immediate priority being the redesign and optimization of the checkout experience.

What's the role about?

As a Sr Front End Engineer you'll own the Frontend side of a high-traffic e-commerce platform, with Shopify at the core. You’ll lead the redesign and optimization of the online store—especially the checkout experience with a strong focus on improving UX, conversion rates, and overall performance. You’ll work closely with Design, Product, and Engineering, using A/B testing and business metrics to continuously improve the shopping experience while having a high level of ownership over Frontend decisions and solutions.

What do we require from you?

• +4 years of solid and proven experience developing with Shopify Liquid.

• Hands-on experience working with Shopify APIs and Shopify Themes.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript.

• Proven experience implementing A/B tests to drive data-informed technical decisions.

• Strong background iterating on technical solutions based on performance and business metrics.

• Solid understanding of UX/UI optimization specifically aimed at Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).

• Strong analytical capacity (solutioning) to solve uncommon technical problems and find efficient alternatives using the Shopify app ecosystem.

• High level of autonomy and independence to proactively lead Frontend development, taking full ownership of technical solutions.

• Advanced english level.

• Nice to have: experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and general Backend architecture.
