Sr. Frontend Engineer - React/Typescript

What's the role about?

As a Sr. Frontend Engineer, you will own the end-to-end development of the core applications powering a hybrid legal services platform. Your work will play a key role in driving the product forward, raising the bar on code quality, and shaping the architecture as the codebase matures.

Working in a small, fast-paced, and lean engineering team with no silos, you will build complex, data-heavy views, real-time chat interfaces, and document-collaboration surfaces using React, Redux Toolkit, and native WebSockets. You will work closely with product, design, and backend engineers to translate client needs into scalable features, independently owning them from idea to production. You will also lead the ongoing TypeScript migration, enforce practical testing standards, and integrate critical third-party services to ensure a seamless experience.

What do we require from you?

• +5 years of professional frontend engineering experience, with deep expertise in React

• Strong TypeScript skills and experience leading or contributing meaningfully to a JS→TS migration in a live codebase.

• Solid grasp of state management patterns (Redux/Redux Toolkit or equivalent) and the tradeoffs of different data-fetching strategies.

• Experience with real-time UIs (native WebSockets, streaming responses, or similar) — familiarity with LLM- streaming UX is a plus given our product.

• Comfort working across build tooling (Create React App, Next.js) and understanding what each buys you.

• Practical testing instincts: you write tests that catch regressions, not tests that just pad a coverage number.

• Experience with component libraries (we use Ant Design and Tailwind) and building accessible, responsive UI.

• Familiarity with production observability tools (Sentry) and product analytics (PostHog/Segment).
