Role Description:

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Cost Control and Quantity Surveyor Engineer at BIMTEC. The role is responsible for managing quantity surveying activities, cost planning, budget control, and commercial reporting across multiple projects. The Senior Cost Control and Quantity Surveyor Engineer ensures accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimations, budget tracking, and financial analysis to support project delivery within approved budgets and timelines. The role also supports tendering, claims, variations, and project commercial performance while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, BIM models, and project documentation for estimation and cost planning purposes.
  • Analyze tender documents, specifications, and contractual requirements during the bidding stage.
  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and budget forecasts for projects.
  • Monitor project costs, committed costs, and actual expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Identify cost deviations, budget overruns, and commercial risks, and report findings to management.
  • Develop and maintain cost control reports, dashboards, and financial performance summaries.
  • Support preparation of monthly cost reports, revenue forecasts, and budget updates.
  • Review subcontractor quotations, payment applications, and variation orders.
  • Prepare and assess claims, variations, change orders, and commercial correspondence.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate progress measurement and cost allocation.
  • Track resource utilization, production benchmarks, and cost performance across projects.
  • Assist in preparing interim payment certificates and final account settlements.
  • Provide commercial support to project managers regarding contract administration and cost-related matters.
  • Support project audits by maintaining organized physical and digital cost records.
  • Ensure all cost control and quantity surveying activities comply with company standards and contractual obligations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Control within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong experience in quantity take-off, estimation, cost planning, and budget control.
  • Sound knowledge of contracts, claims, variations, and commercial management practices.
  • Proficiency in BOQ preparation and cost analysis.
  • Experience with BIM-based quantity extraction is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience with ERP, cost control systems, or project management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
