Position Purpose:

The primary functions of a Business Analyst are to provide support and work with all levels of employees within the organization.  Be a liaison between Technology and business Operations, support GMS companies where and when needed, provide support new implementations, and assist with mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on special projects as requested

  • Provide technical support to yards as needed on various systems (phone, email, helpdesk, etc.)

  • Subject matter expert in Sxe (ERP), MaxRecall, barcode scanners, AvaTax

  • Conduct training (in person, online, etc.…)

  • Implement solutions

  • MaxRecall support

  • Bar Code setup, implementations, and ongoing support

  • Self-manage, show initiative and solve problems

  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers

  • Develop/maintain relationships and rapport with customers

  • Safeguard confidential information

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • GMS Division – Director, Applications  / N/A

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel could be 50% or greater

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position 80%

  • Frequently, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.

  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Constantly working in office environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree emphasis in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

  • Previous experience in operations, distribution, and warehouse management

  • Knowledge of Sxe (ERP)

  • Strong Microsoft office skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel

  • Demonstrated knowledge of all general and advanced accounting procedures

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks

  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects 

  • Must be able to multitask

  • Must be able to receive and analyze financial information

  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur

  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative
