AI Summary

The Solutions Architect will own the technical discovery and solution design for school districts and partners, ensuring seamless integrations and rapid deployments. They will collaborate with various teams to create scalable solutions and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Kira is transforming how people learn by using AI to empower teachers to deliver personalized learning at scale. We’re backed by top investors and driven by a team that is deeply passionate about using technology to change education.

As our Solutions Architect, you’ll serve as the bridge between our customers and our product, owning the technical side of customer engagements from discovery through implementation. You’ll partner closely with our co-founders and GTM team to design scalable solutions that enable school districts to successfully adopt Kira. You’ll work across engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure seamless integrations, rapid deployments, and real impact in classrooms. This role is perfect for someone who’s scrappy, low ego, highly technical, and excited to work directly with customers to bring AI-powered education to life.

What You’ll Do

  • Own technical discovery and solution design for school districts and partners, from initial conversations through implementation.

  • Translate ambiguous customer needs into clear technical architectures, integration plans, and deployment strategies.

  • Design scalable solutions that integrate with district systems (e.g., LMS, SIS, rostering tools).

  • Work across the stack: APIs, data pipelines, backend systems, and product workflows.

  • Partner closely with sales and customer success to support pilots, POCs, and full deployments.

  • Collaborate with engineering to scope work, unblock implementations, and ensure high-quality delivery.

  • Create clear technical documentation, including integration guides, architecture diagrams, and implementation playbooks.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and serve as a trusted advisor to customers.

  • Drive repeatable processes and best practices for scaling implementations across districts.

  • Maintain high quality while moving quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting (SaaS or EdTech preferred).

  • Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing APIs, system architecture, data flows, and integration patterns.

  • Experience working with REST APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based systems.

  • Proficiency in Python or similar language for scripting, debugging, or prototyping.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and design practical solutions.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., educators, administrators).

  • Experience integrating with LMS/SIS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Clever, ClassLink) is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience working with AI-driven products is a plus.

  • Low-ego collaborator who values clarity, ownership, and speed.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $140,000–$160,000 salary + meaningful equity

  • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance, including a medical insurance plan with 100% coverage of employee premiums

  • Flexible PTO policy and company holidays

  • DoorDash credit for lunch daily

  • Dog friendly office 🐶
