Mayo Clinic's Revenue Cycle is hiring a Solution Architect to shape the future of patient access. This role blends deep Epic front-end expertise with strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and strong cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated solutions that streamline the patient experience and advance how Revenue Cycle operates.
What you'll do
- Strategic Intake & Solutioning — Partner with operational leaders to capture the problems and outcomes they're trying to achieve, evaluate feasibility, and recommend the best path forward. You'll identify current and future feature capabilities aligned to our strategic objectives and ensure proposed solutions meaningfully support our priorities.
- Technical Leadership & Design — Serve as a consultative architect who shapes the "what" and "why" of solutions rather than performing the build. You'll evaluate options across Epic, enterprise and departmental specialty systems, and vendor products — recommending the best-fit approach, participating in vendor evaluations, and partnering with build teams to bring designs to life.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration — Determine which Revenue Cycle enablement teams and partner areas are needed to deliver. Facilitate technical committees, build consensus, and gain institutional approvals.
- Roadmap & Release Planning — Stay current on Epic releases, vendor assessments, and emerging AI workflows. Correlate operational roadmaps with upcoming technology to keep strategic initiatives on track.
What you'll bring
- A minimum of three Epic certifications, at least one of which is related to Patient Access/Front-end Revenue Cycle (Prelude, Referrals, Identity)Experience collaborating with MyChart or custom healthcare portal teams to advance the digital patient experience (portal-specific certification or build experience not required).
- Proven ability to map end-to-end workflows across teams, systems, and process areas.
- Strong relationship-building skills across operations, technology, analytics, automation, and education partners.
- A data-driven, root-cause approach to problem solving and sustained process improvement.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities while keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Active awareness of emerging technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and regulatory changes affecting Revenue Cycle.
