ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect. This role can be done remotely and is for a one year contract starting in February 2027.

ROLE: SOLUTION ARCHITECT

The successful candidates possess demonstrated experience in the following areas:

MANDATORY:

A university degree or two-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline (e.g., software development, programming, systems design, or information technology studies) from an accredited post-secondary institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an architect on software development projects; OR A one-year certificate in computer science or a related discipline (e.g., software development, programming, systems design, or information technology studies) from an accredited post-secondary institution and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an architect on software development projects.
A minimum of three (3) years experience as an architect on software development projects using all of the following: C#, .Net development, NoSQL (AWS Dynamo DB), and VS Code.
A minimum of three (3) years experience in the role of architect working on Amazon AWS software development projects.
A degree or diploma in Computing Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field, and/or relevant industry certifications, are desirable criteria for our selection.
A minimum of three (3) years experience developing, building, testing, and deploying solutions using JavaScript frameworks Angular (2.0 or higher) and/or React.

DESIRED:

Experience in solution architecting cloud native serverless applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using microservices architecture. Include relevant project details such as years experience, project objectives, the resource’s role and responsibilities, outcomes achieved, and specific AWS services utilized.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks Angular (version 2.0 or higher) and React. For each framework, indicate level of expertise (basic, advanced, expert), years of experience, the resource’s role, and how these technologies supported project requirements and outcomes.
Experience in solution architecting enterprise-scale, cloud-based platforms similar to new.learnalberta.ca. Include relevant project details such as years experience, project objectives, the resource’s role and responsibilities, outcomes achieved, and specific technologies used.
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB). For each technology, indicate level of expertise (basic, advanced, expert), years of experience, the resource’s role, and how these technologies supported project requirements and outcomes.
