Solidworks 3D Drafter | Work from home | Australian Morning Shift

This is a remote position.

JOB TITLE:         Drafter

Type:               Full Time | 40 hours per week

Rate:                $10AUD/hour (negotiable to the right candidate)

Purpose: The position’s primary responsibility is to create technical drawings to help design floor plans to build real estate or architectural projects. This highly-trained draftsman will work with architects and engineers to design and create 3D computer models of buildings from blueprints or from scratch.

Qualifications:

·        Experience as a Utility/Transformers Drafter (industrial) is a PLUS

·        Proficiency in AutoCAD is a PLUS and Solidworks 3D is a MUST

·        Experience in sheet metal and fabrication is a MUST

·        Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients

·        Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally

·        Team Working skills and a collaborative approach to work

·        Decision-making skills

·        The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload

·        The ability to think strategically

·        A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

·        Experience working for an Australian company

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD (2d) and Solidworks (3d) software

·        Work with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications

·        Write related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates

·        Ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards

·        Maintain a library of standard drawing templates

·        Update existing drawings as new information becomes available
