Scope of Role 

We are looking for a skilled Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance Team. The Software Tester will be responsible for assessing software quality through manual and automated testing. You will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly and meet the specified requirements before they are deployed to users. 


This role is a full-time permanent position.  


Responsibilities 

  • Design, Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on project requirements. 
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression and integration testing. 
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects, ensuring they are resolved before product release. 
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand software requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation. 
  • Automate repetitive testing tasks using testing tools and frameworks. 
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on potential risks and issues. 
  • Analyse test result and create detailed reports to communicate findings and progress. 
  • Maintain and update testing documentation, including test cases, test scripts and user manual. 
  • Ensure that all testing activities are carried out in compliance with industry best practices and company standards. 
  • Continuously improve testing processes by identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness. 

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information, Technology or a related field. 
  • 2-3 years experience
    in software testing, quality assurance or a related role.
     
  • Proficiency in software testing tools and methodologies. 
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC) 
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate and build relationships cross-functionally. 

 

The following experience and qualifications is preferred but not essential: 

  • Knowledge of database querying using SQL 
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Methodologies 
  • Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB, CSTE) 
  • Experience
    using an ERP system would be advantageous
