The Role
Are you ready to join the team of software engineering experts at Kyndryl? We are seeking a technically strong Software Engineering Technical Specialist - Workday Integrations to design, deliver, and support integrations across Kyndryl’s enterprise HR ecosystem, with Workday as the system of record.
As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will develop and support integration solutions within enterprise HR domains such as Workday HCM, payroll, benefits, identity and access management, and third‑party HR platforms. You will be a technical leader—contributing deep domain expertise, guidance, and technical ownership across the integration lifecycle.
At Kyndryl, effective communication and collaboration are critical. In this role, you will work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Security, and external vendors to translate business and regulatory requirements into secure, reliable Workday integration solutions. You will be a trusted problem‑solver for complex data, process, and integration issues that span the employee lifecycle.
You will drive the design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support of Workday integrations, leveraging platform‑native frameworks and enterprise integration patterns. Your focus will be on data accuracy, reliability, security, and compliance across global hire‑to‑retire processes, rather than custom product development.
You will partner with fellow engineers, integration architects, and platform owners to deliver high‑quality integration solutions aligned with release schedules, business cycles (such as payroll and benefits events), and operational readiness standards.
As a senior technical specialist, you will also mentor engineers, help establish integration standards and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the Workday integration landscape. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a business‑critical platform supporting Kyndryl’s global workforce.
Your Future at Kyndryl
Every position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career. We have opportunities that you won’t find anywhere else, including hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and the chance to certify in all four major platforms. Whether you want to broaden your knowledge base or narrow your scope and specialize in a specific sector, you can find your opportunity here.
Who You Are
You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise integrations, preferably with Workday as a system of record
Hands‑on experience with Workday integration technologies (e.g., Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, APIs)
Strong understanding of Hire‑to‑Retire business processes, including worker lifecycle events, payroll, benefits, and compensation data flows
Experience integrating SaaS HR platforms with downstream systems such as payroll providers, benefits vendors, or identity/access management tools
Ability to support production operations, including incident resolution and critical business cycles where data accuracy and timeliness are essential
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in an enterprise, cross‑functional environment
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience supporting global or multi‑country Workday integrations
Familiarity with HR data privacy, security, and audit considerations (e.g., sensitive employee data, regulatory requirements)
Prior experience acting as a technical lead or integration owner for enterprise platforms
And/or Master Certified Technical Specialist
