Software Engineer II - AI Platform

We're seeking a* Software Engineer II* to support our client's AI Platform team. This is a *remote -- *temporary role focused on building intelligent learning experiences for educators and students. Join a dedicated team working on impactful AI solutions in an innovative educational environment. *Software Engineer II - AI Platform Responsibilities:* * Develop and enhance the backend architecture and orchestration logic behind an agentic large language model system used in educational tools. * Integrate external data sources to enable reasoning capabilities within AI-powered features. * Optimize retrieval strategies for improved search quality across vector and lexical data. * Implement system resiliency features to maintain performance and availability under various load conditions. * Ensure reliability through automated testing, prompt lifecycle management, and observability practices. *Software Engineer II - AI Platform Qualifications:* * Proven experience with asynchronous Python (3.11+), including production-level asyncio and async/await handling. * Deep understanding of FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and modern Python development tools. * Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain core, and prompt engineering for AI systems. * Knowledge of multi-agent workflows, RAG retrieval techniques, and working with cloud AI providers like Azure OpenAI. * Operational familiarity with PostgreSQL, pgvector, Elasticsearch, and experience deploying on AWS and Kubernetes. *Perks and Benefits:* * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. * Life Insurance. * 401(k) Program. * Commuter Benefit. * eLearning and Ongoing Training. * Education Reimbursement.
