Software Engineer - C, C++, Dev, Networking

The successful candidate will work on a mission-critical software development program of work. We are looking for a candidate with a strong software development background as well as team lead, or technical mentorship experience. In this role, you will understand the technical landscape, set the direction for the team, find ways to move forward when obstacles arise.

• Participate in system design/definition efforts.
• Drive software design/implementation efforts
• Participate in DevOps efforts
• Play an active role in a Scrum team

• 3 to 5 years of software development experiences with Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Fluency in mainstream languages such as C / C++, Python
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and development environments
• Broad range of technology interests across different disciplines including computer and system architecture, API design and development, performance analysis, distributed systems design, testing and verification technologies, data processing, cloud computing, and networking
• Willingness to engage as a DevOps engineer, who can handle the various stages of software development cycle from design, development, testing, deployment and production support
• Ability to work on distributed remote agile teams with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to drive interaction with peer engineers, and project managers

• Previous software development experience with exposure to application/systems design
• Experience developing with C / C++ , Python
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience working with Software Automation
• Experience deploying and monitoring applications in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Experience working with continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
• Knowledge of TCP/UDP networking fundamentals, Operating Systems, Data structures and Algorithms
• Experience applying machine learning & statistical techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, forecasting, & feature engineering, to real-world problems
• Experience with highly concurrent application architecture and development
