Software Engineer (AI & China Partnerships)

About the role

We are looking for a curious and technology-driven Software Engineer to join our growing AI initiatives team. In this unique role, you will work closely with our Chief AI & Information Officer, supporting the development of AI-related innovations, exploring emerging technologies, and helping build strategic partnerships with leading technology organizations in China.

This position combines software engineering, AI exploration, international collaboration, and technology research. We are open to candidates at different levels of experience (including students and recent graduates) who demonstrate strong technical potential, passion for AI, and native-level Chinese language skills.

Your responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of AI-related initiatives and innovation projects.

• Research emerging AI technologies, tools, and trends, particularly within the Chinese technology ecosystem.

• Collaborate directly with the Chief AI & Information Officer on strategic AI projects.

• Participate in technical discussions with Chinese partners, technology providers, and stakeholders.

• Assist with evaluating AI solutions, models, frameworks, and development tools.

• Contribute to software development activities, including coding, testing, and prototyping.

• Help bridge communication and collaboration between European and Chinese teams and partners.

• Prepare technical analyses, documentation, presentations, and research materials in both Chinese and English.

• Support international business trips and meetings when required.

Required qualifications

Must-have

• Native or native-like level Chinese language skills (C1/C2).

• English proficiency at minimum B2 level.

• Background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (completed or in progress).

• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

• Practical experience using AI tools and models.

• Experience using AI to support software development, programming, automation, or technical work (commercially, academically, or as a personal project).

• Valid passport and willingness to travel to China for business trips.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work with confidential information and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional languages, including Polish.

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar AI tools.

• Understanding of the Chinese technology market.

• Previous experience working in an international environment.

• Open-source, academic, or personal AI projects.

Salary ranges

• Junior: up to 100 PLN/h net B2B | up to 12,350 PLN gross employment contract

• Regular: up to 145 PLN/h net B2B | up to 17,900 PLN gross employment contract
