This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will play a key role in developing the software that powers our data analysis and client solutions. This is a remote role, open to candidates residing in Utah or Tennessee, United States.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment. Your primary duties will include:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable software applications.
* Collaborating with environmental scientists and consultants to translate service requirements into technical specifications.
* Creating tools for data processing, analysis, and visualisation related to air quality metrics.
* Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications.
* Participating in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and share knowledge within the team.
* Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems.
* Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for creating impactful software solutions. Key qualifications include:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
* A solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* Experience with database technologies and cloud platforms is desirable.
* An interest in environmental science or data analysis would be a significant advantage.

Salary

The salary for this position is in the range of $60,000 - $70,000 USD per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
