Social Media & Content Marketing Manager
Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Reports
To: Co-Founder / Leadership Team
About the Company
We are a rapidly growing, early-stage consumer tech company
building products designed to surface what people actually think — not the
curated, performative version of opinions that floods most social feeds.
Chomp is a new social app for finding out what people really
think. Through questions, predictions, and anonymous answers, users can test
their read of the room, compare themselves to others, and see where people
actually stand on everyday opinions, dilemmas, and debates.
This is a small team with strong conviction and a product
that is genuinely different from anything in the market. The person in this
role will have direct access to leadership and real ownership over how we show
up publicly.
About the Role
We need to build an audience. The product has a strong
concept and a compelling story — but right now, most of the world hasn't heard
it yet.
This role exists to change that.
You will own our social media presence across TikTok,
Instagram, and other key channels. Your job is to keep our owned channels
active, coherent, and learning each week by packaging Chomp questions, results,
product moments, community reactions, and approved UGC into social-native
content.
You’ll manage the content calendar, write and package posts,
coordinate assets, track performance, and identify what our audience is
responding to. You’ll also work closely with our UGC Manager, who owns creator
strategy and creator relationships, to make sure learnings flow between UGC and
Chomp’s owned channels.
Beyond content creation, you'll work directly with
leadership to build the infrastructure behind the content: workflows,
templates, scheduling systems, and AI-assisted processes that make the machine
run without everything falling apart when someone is unavailable.
This is not a "post three times a week and report
metrics" role. This is an operating role for someone who can help build a
repeatable social content system while still moving quickly and testing often.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Execution
- Own
and manage day-to-day content across TikTok and Instagram (additional
platforms as needed)
- Build
and maintain our content calendar
- Package
Chomp questions, results, screenshots, product moments, and social
dilemmas into TikTok/Instagram-native content.
- Repurpose
approved UGC, founder clips, podcast clips, and other assets into owned
social posts where relevant.
- Stay
current on trends, formats, sounds, memes, and platform behaviors, and
identify which ones are relevant for Chomp.
- Monitor
comments, saves, shares, DMs, and audience reactions to understand what is
resonating.
Content Creation
- Create
and/or coordinate short-form social content, including Reels, TikToks,
question/result posts, product explainers, repurposed UGC, and clips from
founder, podcast, or other source material.
- Create
lightweight visual assets, templates, captions, and social posts using
tools like Canva, CapCut, Figma, or equivalent.
- Develop
a consistent visual and tonal identity across all channels that reflects
the brand's voice
UGC Collaboration
- Liaise
with the UGC Manager to stay aligned on current creator angles, campaign
priorities, and content tests.
- Repurpose
approved UGC for Chomp’s owned TikTok and Instagram where relevant.
- Share
learnings from Chomp’s owned channels with the UGC Manager, including
which hooks, topics, questions, formats, and CTAs are performing best.
- Monitor
comments, DMs, saves, shares, and audience reactions to identify useful
community feedback that could inform future UGC briefs.
- Communicate
relevant platform trends, formats, sounds, memes, and audience behaviors
that may be useful for UGC creators.
- Flag
recurring audience questions, objections, confusion points, or language
that creators could address in future content.
- Help
ensure UGC used on Chomp’s owned channels feels consistent with the
broader brand, product narrative, and current social learnings.
- Coordinate
timing and posting of approved UGC across owned channels.
Workflow & Systems Building
- Build
and maintain a content calendar that creates structure without killing
spontaneity
- Develop
repeatable content templates and production workflows so content creation
is efficient, not chaotic
- Identify
and implement AI tools that improve content quality, ideation speed, or
production time
- Document
processes so the team can scale without losing quality
Strategy & Collaboration
- Contribute
to broader content marketing strategy, not just execution
- Bring
ideas to the table — new content formats, partnership concepts, community
engagement plays
- Work
directly with co-founders to align content with product launches, company
milestones, and growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 2–4
years of hands-on social media or digital content experience, with a
portfolio to show for it
- Deep,
native familiarity with TikTok and Instagram — you understand how the
platforms and algorithms actually work, not just how to use them
- Strong
judgment for short-form social content, including hooks, pacing, captions,
visual packaging, and platform-native formats.
- Strong
copywriting skills — you can write captions, scripts, and short-form
content that is punchy, clear, and on-brand
- Comfortable
tracking basic content performance and turning learnings into next steps.
- Proficiency
in graphic design tools (Canva or Figma is preferred, for basic
formatting, captioning, adding/removing branded graphics etc)
- Comfort
with short-form video production, including creating simple edits,
coordinating edits, and giving feedback on social assets. (Capcut is the
preferred tool)
- Highly
organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and
content streams simultaneously
- Self-directed
and comfortable working in an early-stage environment where not everything
is defined yet
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience
building or scaling social channels from a small base — you've grown
something, not just maintained it
- Proficiency
with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, CapCut AI, Descript, etc.) and
a genuine interest in applying them to content workflows
- Experience
collaborating with UGC creators, creator managers, influencers, editors,
or external content partners.
- Background
in consumer tech, Gen Z brands or community-driven brands preferred
- Experience
building content workflows, SOPs, or content operating systems for a team
- Familiarity
with scheduling and analytics platforms (We use VistaSocial, experience
with Later, Sprout, Buffer, or equivalent is also fine)
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a social-native content operator with strong taste
and strong follow-through. You understand what makes a TikTok or Reel feel
native, why a hook works, and how to package an idea so people want to answer,
comment, share, or send it to a friend.
You are organized enough to manage a content calendar, track
assets, coordinate with partners, and maintain a weekly learning loop, but
creative enough to spot good angles and improve weak ones.
You like moving quickly, testing formats, and learning from
audience behavior. You do not need everything to be perfectly defined, but you
know how to create enough structure to keep content moving. You are proactive,
collaborative, ask questions and comfortable with some ambiguity.
You are genuinely interested the client’s business’ core
question: what do people really think, and how can that become content people
want to answer, debate, and share?
