Social Media & Community Management Specialist
Compensation Range: 70-90k base + 10% bonus (depending on experience)
This role is remote anywhere in the continental US.

Position Overview Quid is looking for a Social Media & Community Management Specialist to grow our social presence and build meaningful relationships with the audiences we serve. You will manage Quid’s social channels, engage with our online communities, and help turn timely conversations into opportunities for the brand. Using Quid, you will identify and analyze trending news and emerging topics, then work with the marketing team to develop relevant, data-backed content. You will also support our earned media efforts by monitoring reporter request services such as Help a Reporter Out (HARO) and connecting journalists with useful insights and internal subject-matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Quid’s day-to-day presence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and other relevant channels.
Create, schedule, publish, and optimize social content in partnership with the broader marketing team.
Monitor comments, mentions, and messages, responding in a timely and authentic way.
Build relationships with customers, prospects, partners, creators, analysts, journalists, and other industry voices.
Use Quid to identify trending news, emerging conversations, and cultural moments relevant to our audiences.
Conduct analyses in Quid and help turn the findings into timely social posts, visual insights, and rapid-response content.
Identify and engage the people, brands, reporters, and organizations connected to relevant stories.
Monitor reporter request services such as HARO and identify opportunities where Quid can provide useful data or commentary.
Support the development of data-backed responses to journalists by gathering insights and coordinating with internal experts.
Assist with employee advocacy and executive social programs by identifying opportunities and drafting content.
Maintain a social content calendar while leaving room to respond to breaking news and emerging topics.
Track engagement, audience growth, sentiment, content performance, and community health.
Use performance data to test new content formats and recommend improvements.
Flag potential customer service or reputation concerns and help coordinate the appropriate internal response.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
1–3 years of experience in social media, community management, content marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Hands-on experience creating and publishing content for social media.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex topics clear and engaging.
An understanding of how communication styles and content formats differ across social channels and online communities.
Curiosity about news, business, technology, culture, consumer behavior, and emerging trends.
An interest in using data and research to tell timely, relevant stories.
Good editorial judgment and the ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
The ability to balance planned projects with timely opportunities.
A willingness to learn new tools, experiment with content formats, and contribute new ideas.
Comfort collaborating with colleagues across marketing, public relations, customer success, and other teams.
Valid U.S. work authorization is required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with social listening, media intelligence, consumer research, or analytics tools.
Experience supporting public relations or responding to reporter requests.
Familiarity with Quid or another consumer and market intelligence solution.
Basic experience creating social graphics, short-form videos, or data visualizations.
Experience engaging communities on Reddit, LinkedIn, or other discussion-driven channels.
Familiarity with employee advocacy or executive thought leadership programs.
