Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Activation Specialist to join our team in Bratislava, Slovakia. In this home-based role, you will support and coordinate site activation activities for clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, company procedures, project timelines, and contractual requirements.

Working closely with Site Activation Managers, Project Managers, Clinical Operations teams, and investigative sites, you will play a key role in driving study start-up activities and supporting the successful execution of clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform site activation activities for assigned clinical studies in accordance with applicable regulations, SOPs, work instructions, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Site Activation Managers (SAMs), Project Management teams, and other functional groups to support study start-up deliverables.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain site regulatory documentation, ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Review and process essential study documents, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Track the progress of regulatory submissions, ethics approvals, contractual documentation, Investigator Pack (IP) releases, and Informed Consent Form (ICF) approvals.
  • Distribute completed regulatory and contractual documents to investigative sites and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update internal systems, databases, trackers, timelines, and project plans with accurate study information.
  • Support document collection, filing, and maintenance activities throughout the study start-up process.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, sponsors, and investigative sites.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or regulated environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in clinical research, clinical trials, site activation, regulatory affairs, or study start-up activities.
  • Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and the drug development process.
  • Experience working with clinical trial management systems and document management platforms.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is 16.400,00 € - 24.600,00 €. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
