JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Tester to join our growing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of ServiceNow solutions across various modules and implementations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, testing methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, design, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across ServiceNow modules.
- Validate platform configurations, workflows, automations, and customizations against business and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and technical consultants to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.
- Support UAT by coordinating with business stakeholders and end users.
- Validate integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems including REST API connectivity.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain detailed test documentation including test scripts, test results, and defect logs.
- Ensure testing activities align with ITIL best practices and ServiceNow development standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks, processes, and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience testing ServiceNow implementations across one or more modules (ITSM, CSM, HRSD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform fundamentals including workflows, business rules, and service catalog.
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Ability to write and execute detailed test cases and test scripts based on functional requirements.
- Experience with defect management and defect lifecycle processes.
- Understanding of REST API testing and integration validation.
Required Technical Skillset
- Familiarity with Flow Designer, workflows, and automation logic in the context of testing.
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management processes.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- Experience testing ServiceNow in enterprise or regulated industry environments (e.g., healthcare, finance).
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks within ServiceNow such as Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Multi-module ServiceNow testing experience across ITSM, CSM, ITOM, HRSD, SAM, or FSM.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Experience working within matrixed or large-scale consulting delivery organisations.
Preferred Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ISTQB Foundation Level or higher
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Any ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification is a plus
