Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across various modules while translating functional requirements into effective technical configurations. We are seeking a Mid-Level ServiceNow Developer to join our team supporting federal government clients. This role is ideal for a ServiceNow professional with solid hands-on development and configuration experience who is looking to contribute to meaningful, mission-focused solutions. The ideal candidate has experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflows, integrations, and module configuration and is comfortable working collaboratively with senior developers, architects, analysts, and client stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across one or more modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, CMDB, or custom applications.
Translate functional and technical requirements into effective ServiceNow configurations and custom development.
Develop and maintain ServiceNow scripts, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and related platform components.
Configure workflows, forms, fields, notifications, reports, and other ServiceNow functionality based on business requirements.
Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and other integration methods.
Collaborate with senior developers, architects, business analysts, project managers, and client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Participate in unit testing, system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions.
Identify and resolve technical issues and recommend improvements to existing ServiceNow functionality and processes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Create and maintain technical documentation related to configurations, development, integrations, and system processes.
Follow established development standards, security requirements, and ServiceNow best practices.
Support platform enhancements, upgrades, deployments, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Stay current with ServiceNow platform capabilities and contribute ideas for process automation and platform improvements.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and configuration, including scripting and application customization.
Working knowledge of one or more ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, CMDB, or SecOps.
Proficiency with ServiceNow scripting, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
Experience configuring workflows, forms, fields, notifications, reports, and other ServiceNow platform functionality.
Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical ServiceNow solutions.
Experience developing or supporting integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, or other integration frameworks.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working as part of a collaborative development team.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze problems, and develop maintainable solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work within established development standards, security requirements, and federal client environments.
Familiarity with federal compliance and security requirements, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53, is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer preferred.
ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of an ITSM platform.
2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting, configuration, customization, testing, and deployment.
Experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including creating and/or customizing applications and platform functionality.
3+ years of experience working with one or more programming or scripting languages, preferably JavaScript.
Experience developing or supporting ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs or similar technologies.
Experience creating technical documentation and maintaining development and configuration documentation.
Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
Federal government or government contracting experience is preferred.
