AI Summary

The SEO Strategist will architect holistic organic search strategies, including technical audits, keyword gap analysis, and long-term roadmap execution. They will also lead cross-functional teams and leverage AI workflows to scale performance across local, national, and AI-driven search platforms.

We are seeking an analytical, growth-focused SEO Strategist to join a fast-growing digital agency working with service-based, B2B, retail, and eCommerce clients. Rather than just running basic optimizations, this role is built for a strategic thinker who can architect holistic search strategies, lead end-to-end campaign performance, and leverage modern AI workflows to scale organic growth.

In this position, you will own client campaigns from initial technical audits through long-term roadmap execution. You will translate organic data into clear business insights, guide content and design teams toward SEO-first execution, and continuously adapt search strategies across local, national, and AI-driven search platforms.

Full-time: 40 hours per week
Remote: Fully remote (UK working hours)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (client based in Ireland)
Monthly Rate: $1000-1600 (based on a 40-hour workweek; flexible depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Campaign Architecture & Strategy: Design and own end-to-end organic search strategies—including comprehensive site audits, technical architecture roadmaps, keyword gap analyses, and ROI-focused campaign positioning.
  • Multi-Platform Technical Optimization: Direct and execute technical SEO, site structure enhancements, schema markup, and metadata optimization across major CMS environments (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix).
  • AI & Future-Proof Search Visibility: Integrate advanced AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Surfer SEO) to streamline content planning and on-page optimization, while structuring content for entity-based search and AI-driven discovery engines.
  • Local & National Growth: Drive local SEO initiatives—including Google Business Profile management, local citation building, and location-specific page structures—alongside national search strategies.
  • Data-Led Direction & Link Building: Monitor rankings, backlink profiles, and domain authority using SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console. Execute ethical, white-hat link building and deliver actionable data-led reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with content creators, web developers, and designers to ensure brand assets align with technical SEO and UX best practices, managing workflows seamlessly via Asana and Slack
Role Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience building and executing successful SEO campaigns, ideally within service-based, B2B, local business, or SME niches (experience with UK/Irish markets is a strong plus).
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard SEO platforms (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4).
  • Hands-on experience navigating and optimizing various website builders, including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix.
  • Deep understanding of site architecture, technical indexing, local search signals, and conversion-focused content principles.
  • Active experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Surfer SEO, Claude) to accelerate keyword research, content briefs, and on-page scaling.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English, strong project management skills, and the ability to work independently during European business hours.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Dedicated E-commerce SEO campaign experience.
  • Advanced understanding of JSON-LD schema markup, structured data, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and basic UX principles.
  • Experience working directly with Irish or UK-based client accounts and local search behaviors.

Recruitment Process:
  • Initial Interview
  • Test Assignment
  • Client Interview
  • Offer and Onboarding
