SEO Specialist

Are you an SEO specialist with 2+ years of SEO experience, looking to grow into a strategist managing your own international clients within the next 2 years?

We are looking for an incredibly curious individual who knows that AI is fundamentally changing search behaviour, as well as changing the fundamentals of how businesses operate!

We need your help to progress our journey in becoming one of the first fully accredited Claude partners in South Africa.

The position is fully remote, with flexible hours, but operates mainly during South African business hours.

Within the context of using AI wherever it makes sense, your responsibilities will include:

1. Executing a range of SEO processes: Interpret briefs from team members, ask clarifying questions, challenge assumptions, and then execute “with precision”. The more you can incorporate AI (smartly), the better.
2. Operating a variety of SEO tools: Quickly understand how to use the various SEO tools we have at our disposal to help execute (and improve) our SEO processes.
3. Contribute to client SEO strategy: We will welcome all your contributions to client SEO strategy brainstorming sessions. (Over time, we will help you grow your client presenting skills.)
4. Contribute to AI best practices - Your passion and experience with AI will help us progress faster in becoming an official Claude partner.

The “must-haves”:

1. Minimum of 2 years’ dedicated SEO experience;
2. Be confident and articulate in meetings;
3. Google Analytics, Google Business Profiles & Search Console knowledge;
4. A university degree.

The “nice-to-haves”:

1. You’re already using AI to get better quality work done, or you’re more efficient with your work;
2. A working knowledge of ranking tools (SEMrush/Accuranker/SE Ranking), technical website health factors, Google Tag Manager & HTML code;
3. You’re learning-obsessed and can show recently completed learning courses.

Remuneration:

As the experience for this role can vary widely, the salary range is as follows: R20,000 to 26,000 CTC. Other benefits include:

• 20 days’ annual leave;
• Fully remote (but operating on South African business hours);
• Flexible hours;
• Birthday off (no one should work on their b’day).

We're a digital marketing team of ten people primarily based in South Africa, with clients all over the world. We offer SEO, Google Ads, and UX work, all with one focus: to increase our clients' revenue.

We operate under two brands: CleverClicks Digital focuses primarily on health care; and Adventure Travel Digital focuses on multi-day adventure tour operators. We were established in 2007, and all our clients are international.
