Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team and report directly to the Director of Finance. This role will oversee key accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, commissions, and month-end closing. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Training will be provided on company-specific systems and U.S. processes.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
Process accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals routing, and timely vendor payments
Process brokers' commission calculations and payments, ensuring accuracy against commission plans and supporting documentation
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (U.S. GAAP)
Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Support internal and external audits
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights clearly
Maintain organized, accurate financial records and documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a reputable university
3–5 years of progressive, independent accounting experience (GL, AP, reconciliations, month-end close)
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote environment
Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace
Preferred Qualifications
CPA license (Philippine CPA or equivalent)
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar cloud accounting/ERP platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero)
Familiarity with US payroll processes
Experience with commission processing or sales compensation administration
Experience working with US-based or international companies
Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to improve efficiency and accuracy in day-to-day accounting work
