About the role:

As a newly created role, this position reflects People First Bank’s investment in the future of risk management through AI, automation and advanced analytics. Reporting to the Head of Risk Analytics & Reporting, you will work across Group Risk and the broader organisation to design and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making, improve efficiency and strengthen risk capability across the Bank.

Specifically, you will: 

• Lead the delivery of strategic analytics, automation and AI initiatives that enhance risk capability and drive business value.
• Partner with Risk and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Design and implement AI-enabled solutions including agents with MS Copilot, Databricks or other agent building platforms. 
• Design and implement process automations.
• Develop dashboards, reporting solutions and data assets using technologies such as Power Platform’s BI, Automate and Apps, Databricks and other modern analytics platforms using SQL and Python. 
• Act as a trusted advisor and champion of innovation, influencing stakeholders and promoting continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Identify and manage risks associated with emerging technologies and AI solutions, ensuring appropriate governance and controls are embedded.
• Contribute to enterprise risk management activities by providing analysis, challenge and insights across financial and non-financial risk areas.
   

What you'll bring

You are naturally curious, forward-thinking and passionate about leveraging technology to solve business problems. You enjoy working in evolving environments, building strong stakeholder relationships and leading meaningful change initiatives.

We also seek:

• Recent qualification in data analytics, artificial intelligence, dashboard development, coding, or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in risk analytics, advanced analytics, AI implementation or a similar role
• Recent experience in banking, financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong technical capability across AI, data and automation platforms including Databricks, Power Platform and using SQL and Python.
• Demonstrable experience developing and implementing data, analytics or AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong business process analysis and improvement experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills.

Training, facilitation or instructional experience will be well regarded, as will qualifications or studies in business process improvement.
