What do we need?

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Go) who’s excited about building scalable systems and solving complex engineering challenges.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining core backend services that power Awaed’s trading platform. From optimizing performance and ensuring reliability to introducing new technologies and ideas, this is your opportunity to make an impact in a high-performance fintech environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Product, DevOps, and Data teams to deliver high-quality software that drives real business value — and helps shape the future of digital trading in the region.

What we're looking for?

• 6+ years of experience in backend software development.

• Strong experience with Java and/or GoLang.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases and caching systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

What you'll do?

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and microservices using GoLang and Java.

• Develop APIs and data pipelines that ensure high scalability, security, and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and deliver technical solutions.

• Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and process improvements.

• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or high-frequency systems.

  Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

  Knowledge of low-latency system optimization.
